The Tudor Pelagos is a purpose-built professional dive watch that combines modern tool-watch engineering with a distinctive twist on traditional design. Introduced in 2016, the “LHD” (Left Hand Drive) configuration places the crown on the left side of the case—originally intended for left-handed divers, but now appreciated as a unique and collectible variation within the Pelagos line.

Crafted from brushed lightweight titanium, the 42mm case houses a matte black dial that features beige luminous markers and signature “roulette” date wheel give the watch a subtle vintage character. Beneath the surface, it is powered by Tudor’s in-house MT5612 automatic movement, offering COSC-certified accuracy and an extended 70-hour power reserve.

The bracelet features Tudor’s patented self-adjusting clasp system. Designed with a spring-loaded mechanism, the bracelet can automatically expand and contract with changes in wrist size—whether from temperature or activity—while also offering fixed micro-adjustment positions and a built-in diver’s extension. This combination of lightweight construction and advanced functionality, along with the accompanying rubber strap option that also comes with a dedicated strap extension to easily adjust and fit over a wetsuits, makes it one of the most technically refined and prstical bracelet combinations in its class, reinforcing the Pelagos LHD’s reputation as a true modern tool watch.

With 500 meters of water resistance, a helium escape valve, and a patented adjustable bracelet system, the Pelagos LHD is built to true professional specifications. At the same time, its unconventional crown placement and numbered caseback add a layer of individuality that sets it apart from more traditional dive watches, making it both a serious tool watch and a distinctive modern collectible.
